Tessa turned slightly as the clip-clop of horses accompanied the boy's voice, "A fine way to go out." She reached out, stroking one of the horse's neck as the boy said, "I'll take good care of your sister Tomas. You can call me Grim by the way." Tessa heard Tomas laugh, a sound that relieved her. He would be alright. "Tessa can take care of herself. You've experienced firsthand what happens if you piss my sister off, Grim." Tessa grinned to herself as she scrambled up onto the horse's back. She blew a kiss in Tomas's direction and waved cheerfully. For once, she was glad she couldn't see the sad look on Tomas's face. "Bye Tess! We'll meet up later." Tomas promised, his voice quavering. Tessa guided the horse gently, steering it towards Grim. "Well?" She murmured, waiting.
