Human beings are some of the most fascinating creatures in the known universe. They are the only species to conquer the land, water, skies and stars. Yet, they are also the most illogical creatures I have met. In the words of Timothy, “Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof”. If any other creature had what we have, they would have figured out how to live in harmony by now.
And in conclusion, I am at a crossroads. I may be just another antagonizer to our species, but there might be a chance, a small one, that I could create something to inspire people to be better. Such potential for good though, will unfortunately need to be forged with pain, agony, and risk. No good story ever existed without these elements. No great hero ever rose without experiencing these things for themselves.
Thus my fear, I could break a precious gem, destroy hope, and pervert something that could have been so holy. But I don’t have time to delay. By tomorrow, this file will be backed up and encrypted with a code that only exists in my head. The cipher is of my own design. These will be my final words on this record, I am committed.
You are a brand new recruit for The United Order of the Neo-Incarnates, a military organization reaching over several countries. The organization started as a joint military trust allowing small nations to bind their military might together, but due to the nature of joint military, the goals of the nations eventually aligned and Neo-Inc essentially became a new nation compiled of its original members.
After being interviewed by a few people, you have been ordered, perhaps at gunpoint, to report to the NIS Transcendence, a Neo-Inc medical frigate. You have been chosen to be part of the newly started ASRP, Advanced Soldiers Research Program. You were chosen because you aren't a soldier, yet. The program was designed to experiment with candidates on new ways to train soldiers and other military personnel for active service.
Rules and Business information:
-I declare myself dictator for life, my word is law
-Though characters might be offensive to each other, players will not
-Only 1 character per person
-I really can only handle like 8 people max, so that’s all that are allowed to join.
-It is probably also important to note that this will be the first roleplay I’ve run. I’m an alright writer and DM, but merging the two will be tricky.
-You are all humans and although biotechnology has started to come around most of the possibilities available to the public are just slightly advanced version of what we have today. Prosthetics, hearing aids, magnets embedded in the skin, etc.
-Technology is not far from we are now, the biggest leaps have been in space travel. Currently everyone still use bullets in their guns. For your convenience imagine that everything considered technologically expensive in our world is now easily affordable, but beside from spaceships there is no supertech.
-You were not picked for this program because you were ready to be a soldier either, physical and psychological disabilities are fair game.

The Rim is a universe that is populated with many habitable worlds. Life exists on many, though aliens are not as advanced as fiction guessed they would be. Though sentient, these foreign beings haven't needed technological evolution due to their genetic advantage over the species of the respective planets.
In order to protect the cultures of these primitive species and to prevent advanced violence from these creatures, governments across the Rim agreed that humans shouldn’t share their technologies with these new creatures, and instead they leave them relatively alone, watching from the space.
But the Humans are not as nice to each other as they are to the aliens. Conflicts between nationalities and countries erupt spontaneously, sometimes engulfing large sections of universal territory. In order to be prepared, almost every country has a standing military and billions of credits are spent each year advancing these programs. It seems the only individuals of the human race who can live without the threat of violence and war are those living on Sem-planets. Like Mars, these worlds can be habitable, but they were never intended for a human to survive there.
