End screens are basically updated and massively improved annotations that can only be used in the last 20 seconds of a video. They fill the same function but are much easier to use (seriously Youtube's annotation creator was a buggy mess). Also, end screens can't be turned off by the user, so they will always appear at the end of a video if the Youtuber made one.
So what do you all think about them?
Personally, I think the End Screen is a much needed update to annotations. Annotations have never worked very well, and since users can turn them off, it is hard for Youtubers to determine their effectiveness. End Screens are much easier to create than annotations, which I appreciate a lot simply for the time and frustration it saves me.
